Chin Choon Prawn Noodle

Price:
SG$4.00

Average waiting time:
30-45 minutes on weekend or public holiday

Tasted on:
13th May 2014, noon

My Taste Verdict:
6/10

The portion is quite small for a 4 buck meal. The prawns are shelled and fresh, lots of fish cake and a couple of sliced meat. I ordered mee-kia (thin noodles) dry. It is tossed in black sauce and a bits of fried garlic. The soup is tasty! Not so salty and smooth down your throat.

Oh they have a unique queuing system. During peak hours, you don't order at their store. They will give you a number made of metal tag that you can place it on the table. Find a place, get some drinks and prepare to wait. I waited for 30mins. They will search for your number and ask for your order.

For the waiting time, the cost, the ingredients and the taste. It might not be a must try on a hot sunny day. I might try again if I do not need to wait for too long. However, there are lots of regulars. Prepare to queue up!

Oh! By the way, I heard the prata store there is nice too. I didn't get to taste it. It was sold out by noon.
